Achieves Highest Rating for Third Consecutive Time and Selected for ‘ESG Best Companies 100’
Dongwon Metal Co., Ltd. has achieved the highest ‘AA’ rating in the SUSTINVEST ESG evaluation for the second half of 2025. This marks the third consecutive time the company has attained the top rating, following the second half of 2024 and the first half of 2025, signifying a significant achievement that once again demonstrates the company's consistently excellent level of ESG management. Furthermore, the company earned the honor of being included in the “2025 Second Half ESG Best Companies 100” list, which SUSTINVEST selects and announces for 100 listed companies demonstrating outstanding performance across all ESG domains.
SUSTINVEST is a leading domestic ESG specialized evaluation agency and one of Korea's three major ESG rating agencies (SUSTINVEST, Korea ESG Standards Institute, Korea ESG Research Institute). It has conducted ESG evaluations of domestic companies since 2006 and holds the longest accumulated data and largest evaluation coverage for Korean companies.
SUSTINVEST's ESG rating system consists of seven tiers: AA > A > BB > B > C > D > E. The company has achieved the highest rating, ‘AA’, for three consecutive times. This indicates that its management systems and performance across various ESG factors are stable and at an excellent level.
In the second half of 2025 evaluation, Dongwon Metal recorded a total score of 98.49 points (out of 100), achieving an outstanding ranking of 30th among all 1,299 evaluated companies and 2nd among 58 companies in the automotive and parts sector. This is the result of our systematic ESG response capabilities and internalization level being objectively recognized by an external institution.
Notably, SustainBest stated in its summary report, “Dongwon Metal's second-half 2025 ESG rating of AA is investment-grade level, and continuous ESG management is necessary to maintain this top rating consistently.” This is a significant message demonstrating that the company's ESG management practices are trusted by external stakeholders.
